GBStudio 3 - Animated Tile Tutorial
This is a interactive how-to tutorial for animating tiles in GB STudio 3.0.3 using GSVM scripts and Timer scripts. There are 5 scenes, each cover a different aspect of creating the script code. Its is based on NalaFala (Yousurname) "Background Tile Swapping Guide for GB Studio 3" tutorial https://gist.github.com/Y0UR-U5ERNAME/b1cdf7f3afff6c14dfa557dc5e6b1572 but I filled in the blanks for people new to GBVM, like me :)

Thanks for making this, super helpful. Was able to get it going relatively fast, and love how it can replace all the same tiles in one shot, making animating a scene full of water a snap.
How did you manage to get the tile swapping to work during a cutscene? Struggling to figure that one out. Seems anything that pauses script until a button is pressed (dialog, menus) stops the animation as well.
yutube tutorial tho, im having a hard time following this
try the written tutorial https://github.com/phinioxGlade/gbstudio-3-animated-tile-tutorial. You can download the source code which has more detail than is possible in tiny GBS dialog pop up.
Thanks for the feedback, is there anything specific I might be able to address to help in the interact tutorial?
Me too xD
Incredible!
thanks. I’m working on my next tutorial about rendering sprites behind background tiles.
this is very helpful and well made. 10/10
Thanks. Is there any feedback you that would could share make the tutorial better. This is my first attempt tutorial.
there are some glitches in the text I noticed. Also I think making it controlled by the player from the start might be helpful
Thanks for the feedback :)
I was already working of the text but based on your feedback in the next build let player control it from the start
Your request has been uploaded into V1.1 release :)
Awesome work!
